HILL TOP FORTRESSES

The guided tour starts by a cable car ride from Zecca Station (located in the centre of Genoa) to Righi where the famous trail of butterflies begins and climbs to the Fortresses on the genoise hill top. We will visit the Forts called: Puin, Younger Brother and Diamond and then we will move on to the Sperone Fort. We’re going to discover the european longest city wall. A few minutes are enough to find yourself on the city heights, immersed in history and nature and with the magnificent view of the sea on the horizon. There is a suitable path for anyone who loves to walk (medium difficulty uphill route). On our way back, as an alternative to the road from which we came, we can descend on foot to Trensasco station where the nearby historic train stops and which it brings us back to the city centre.
